Western Steam Ltd specialise in the production of copper boilers for live steam locomotives and traction engines. Boilers can be built to either standard published designs or supplied drawings.

Our boilers are of all copper construction, fitted with bronze bushes and silver soldered throughout. They are manufactured in accordance with the Code of Practice and standards laid down by the Association of Professional Copper Boiler Makers (ME).

Upon completion, boilers are hydraulically tested to twice the maximum allowable pressure and are supplied with CCIT (Certificate of Conformity and Initial Test) - purchasers are welcome to witness this test at our factory.

Our boilers are usually made to order, but we do have a limited number of boilers in stock for immediate delivery.

Western Steam owner Helen Verrall has established a reputation for manufacturing first class, high quality, finished boilers.

Helen welcomes visitors to the factory and also attends a number of rallies and exhibitions throughout the year.
